UPSL Season opener a sucCess!

Arlington S.A. Pro’s UPSL team achieved a 3-0 victory on Sunday, April 6th, securing all three points. The event began positively with young Arlington Soccer players accompanying the team for the walkout, emphasizing unity. Chris Barnard scored the opening goal in the 22nd minute after a cross from Maculey Nwulu was flicked on by Peter Mattocks to Barnard, who then scored. Following some exchanges of play amidst rain, Peter Mattocks added a second goal in the 45th minute, leading to a halftime score of 2-0. Wassim Sassi secured the third goal following a quick restart initiated by midfielder Christian Kershaw. Goalkeeper Connor Jones recorded a shutout during his debut, supported by strong defensive efforts.

As a result of this match, the team currently ranks third in the standings after week one due to goal differential from other games. In match week two, the team will compete against Blazers FC on April 12th at Thomas Jefferson High School with an 8:30 PM kickoff. We look forward to seeing you there!
