UPSL ROUNDUP | 6-1 win in season opener

What a way to get things started! After going down 1 minute in to the match, the group came together and rallied back fast. Forward Duncan Dunkwu earned a PK in the 6th minute which Chris Barnard converted. Kareem Gharbi assisted Giuseppe Meli who hit a rocket from distance in the 36th minute to take the lead. Daniel Jackson joined the scoresheet after getting his head on the ball from a Chris Barnard corner kick. The score going in to half time was 3-1. Meli earned his brace with a calm and composed finish the 49th minute. Barnard earned his third assist of the day after playing a back heeled through ball to forward Miles Powell who used his left to find the far post to make it 5-1 in the 64th minute. Adam Abdellaoui capped off the scoring in the 85th minute after a quick restart from Miles Powell found him through on goal. Maxim Davis made multiple saves to keep North Stars at 1 on the day.
